Bucket List; How it can help you in finding your passion. p.2.

November 30th, 2009

Hello and welcome back my fellow passion hunting explorers. Today is the continuation of part 1 of my article on bucket lists and their usefulness in assisting you in finding your passion. So, before we ourselves ‘kick the bucket’ lets get a wiggle on….

What goes into a bucket list?
ANYTHING, ANYTHING AT ALL !!!! That’s the beauty of  your bucket list is that there is no right or wrong answer. It ishst101 created purely on your most deepest hearts desires and in doing so you get in touch with the most authentic and truest part of your soul and start gaining a few pieces to the puzzle that assist you in finding your passion. Your bucket list is just that YOURS. It can contain grand plans to see the world or have an item such as spending a whole day in bed luxuriating with the person you love. It is all about what brings YOU the most joy.  It is the window into you. The REAL you. The you who is no longer thinking in terms of ’should’ or ‘cant’. It is pure and it is fun.

Where to begin????

If you are anything like me when someone asks you to write down all the things you would like to experience before you die, you probably find it sooooo overwhelming you have no idea where to start!!!! I know I do so  that is why I have created a suggestion list for those of you who are unsure where to begin and  are struggling with finding a way to dig deep down,  really let loose and get to the heart of finding your passion and your deepest goals in life.

  1. Imagine that you have an unlimited credit card that never ever has to be paid back. The beauty of setting the stage like this from the beginning is that it means that in your mind money is no longer an object to get in the way of finding what it is your heart truly desires.
  2. Get a blank piece of paper and while listening to a song such as this,YouTube Preview Image , or one that you really love that challenges you to think if today was your last day, and then begin free writing all the things you would do. Don’t think about your answers, how you would achieve these things you want or get to the places you want to go. The key is just getting them down, to get your heart to really open up and start speaking, and for you to let it.
  3. Once you have done this once, you may find that you wish to listen to the song of your choice a few more times and keep writing down until you feel that you have really heard your heart, or until you are satisfied that you have the beginnings of something that really stirs you up and gets you excited to imagine yourself ticking every single item off this list.
  4. Once you have your list I would suggest putting it in order of things you think are easy to do down to what you think is impossible to achieve. You will find once you start at the baby steps the walking will be easily achieved as you will be able to see your progress and motivation will inspire you to think outside the square.
  5. The final step is then to take action. Make a vow to yourself today that you will begin crossing off things on your list. It doesn’t matter where you begin the key to finding your passion and really living a fulfilled and satisfied life is to get moving and then to keep moving in the direction you want to go.
  6. And most of all remember to have FUN. It has to be fun. Without the fun you are just adding more “to-do’s”, your bucket list should be light and fun and give you excitement.!!!

I hope you have enjoyed this article and find it to be a useful tool in your bag of tricks in assisting you to finding your passion and living  a life based on joy.

As always I look forward to your comments, suggestions and opinions. Stay safe, have fun and enjoy finding your passion.
